Dr. Connie Chung is an accomplished Executive, Founder, and Scientist with over 15 years of experience focused on transformative cell and tissue therapies—including bone, exosomes, stem cells, placental-derived products, and other connective tissue platforms—for wound care and surgical repair. She is author of 30+ publications, inventor on patents, and presents widely in the field.
She has held numerous senior leadership positions at major tissue banks such as MIMEDX and VIVEX, where she directed new product development, and has also played formative roles in biotech start-ups, building companies from the ground up. Drawing on this dual-perspective, she has led teams from early concept through GMP-compliant manufacturing. Clients benefit from her ability to combine corporate-scale discipline with entrepreneurial agility, delivering both strategic clarity and executional precision.
With expertise spanning virtually all aspects of the business, including IP development, regulatory affairs, market access strategy, and operational tech transfer, Dr. Chung has become a trusted advisor/consultant serving as an advisory board member. She has led landmark R&D programs, supported due diligence for multi-million-dollar investments, and worked extensively with the FDA to shape regulatory-aligned development plans. This uniquely integrated perspective allows her to help organizations accelerate commercialization while de-risking translational hurdles.
She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia and bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist by the American Association of Tissue Banks, with advanced certifications in Lean Six Sigma and Strategic Product Management from Wharton School of Business.
